Hike for Hospice 2025
Sunday, June 1st | Westwood Lake Park
Join Nanaimo Community Hospice for our annual Hike for Hospice, a heartfelt event that brings our community together in support of those facing advanced illness, death, and grief. Set against the stunning backdrop of Westwood Lake Park, this special day is all about connection, remembrance, and hope.
Whether you’re walking in memory of a loved one or simply showing your support, every step you take helps fund the free programs and services offered by Nanaimo Community Hospice—including one-on-one grief support, wellness programs, support groups, and more.
Start your fundraising journey, advocate for Hospice in your town, and collect pledges. On the day of the event, choose from a 1km or 5km hike, and stay afterward for a BBQ lunch with fellow participants.
Check-in begins at 10:00 AM | Hike starts at 11:00 AM
If you wish to pick up a pledge form from our office in person, you may do so and bring any cash or cheque pledges with you on the day of the event. Cheques can be made out to Nanaimo Community Hospice Society.
Can't join us in person on June 1st?
Skip the event registration and donate directly to the Hike for Hospice 2025 Campaign, or start a fundraising team to raise money within your family, workplace, or social groups—all in support of the programs and services provided by Nanaimo Community Hospice.
All funds raised stay right here in our community to ensure that no one walks the path of grief or illness alone.
Let’s walk together, in support and remembrance.
