Our Hospice Heroes

Recurring gifts are an important part of helping our organization to continue to realize our mission. Hospice Heroes recognize and believe that everyone should have access to Hospice resources without the burden of cost. By becoming a monthly donor, you continue to support those dealing with the challenges of death and dying through our free grief short-term and bereavement counselling, wellness programs, support groups and resources.   • Adult Counselling

    Your support provides individuals with one-to-one grief support in a safe, comforting, and non-judgmental environment, fostering self-exploration and personal understanding.

  • Comfort Care Kits

    Comfort care kits provide personalized support to individuals during times of grief. Each kit, packaged in a Hospice Tote, includes handmade Comfort Cushions, therapeutic bean bags, a hand made shawl, a stuffed teddy bear, and informative pamphlets. With nearly 400 kits sent out annually, your support allows us to offer a touch of loving kindness and practical comfort.

  • Children and Youth Programs

    With the guidance of trained Hospice staff and volunteers, children acquire the tools they need to navigate life after the loss of a loved one. Your gifts ensures these crucial programs continue to provide comfort and guidance to young hearts in our community.

  • Wellness Programs

    Your generosity helps promote holistic well-being and comprehensive care for our community. Thank you to our monthly donors for supporting the wellness programs, which include complementary therapies like Reiki and meditation.

  • Comprehensive Volunteer Training

    A thorough 42-hour training program prepares volunteers to serve with knowledge and compassion. Thanks to the support of people like you, we can improve our training to better help our community.

  • Lending Library

    The Hospice Library is a valuable resource filled with grief support materials, providing comfort and knowledge to those in need. Thanks to generous donors, the shelves are stocked with hundreds of titles, lending over 600 books each year.
